Hamilton Appointments are working closely with their Bedford based client, who are currently seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator on a permanent contract.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of stainless steel products to specification and design.

Duties will include:

• Operate Press Brake; including machine set-up, programming, selecting tooling & safety checks.
• Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided).
• Executing works orders.
• Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others.
• Completion of documentation.

The successful candidate will be required to know bend allowances, use of dies and vees and have knowledge of flat pattern and general sheet metal practices. Then ability to read technical drawings and perform measurements is also essential.

Working hours are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am -12 noon on Fridays.

This position is being offered on a permanent basis with a competitive salary, along with 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays. They also offer a Company Pension Scheme and Private Healthcare is available after a qualifying period.
